I am a medical doctor in the United Kingdom training to become a neurosurgeon.
A holistic understanding of the world, science, history, and culture is the driving force of my aspirations to improve the lives of patients and those around me.
Work
I work as a clinical development fellow in neurosurgery in Edinburgh, Scotland.
My clinical interests are minimally invasive surgery of the central nervous system, holistic regenerative medicine, and robotic surgery. I have gained exposure to these fields throughout my career and complemented this with the teachings of my father, a consultant neurosurgeon who trained in the United Kingdom and currently offers neurosurgical and regenerative care in Spain.
Through my Master in Public Health from the University of Aberdeen (my Alma Mater) I understood the principles of research, data management, representation of data, epidemiology, health logistics, legislation, and global health inequalities.
In my foundation years I rotated through various medical and surgical specialties which instilled in me an acute awareness of the benefits of a holistic approach to managing health and disease.
At present, my objectives are to become a consultant neurosurgeon and to continue developing in the field of regenerative medicine through the use of stem cells, pursuing further medical education and training, as well as integrating other disciplines to streamline the delivery of my services.
I envision a future where I will manage a multidisciplinary team with a holistic management of health, based on the optimisation of lifestyle and cellular health both before and after surgery.
I invest time and assets to ensure the foundational principles of this regenerative medicine institution materialise to produce optimal patient outcomes.
About
I have always had a passion for natural sciences, their role in the theory of everything, and the influence of history and culture in our perception of reality. What started as an itching to understand the underlying principles of my hobbies for the sake of efficiency, has become an endeavour in itself. Scratching the surface of a subject and realising it would take a lifetime of study to fully grasp the field is a humbling experience that adds perspective and reminds me of the vastness of the universe and our place within it. I enjoy experiencing the world unfold in accordance with universal law, and there is always something to learn, and opportunity to marvel.
Plus, nature is simply quite fun!
